I'm going to look at the bright side and hope that the non-riders in the POD section will miss having a place to post, go out buy some Harley's and start riding them. Then they can join the rest of us in the bike discussion threads and we can all live happily ever after. I'll miss having something to do while I'm work now now that the POD is suspended. My SG runs like a top so I have no bike issues to talk about and I only go for extended rides on the weekends. I'm pretty much done making mods except for maybe Cams this winter....
Someone needs to start a forum called bored at work where anything goes....
weird, it was back and I could post....now it is not allowing it again.
Come on mods, make up your minds, please
I just saw that. Good call HDF. Punish the ONE. Not the many. The POD has been a great source of cheap entertainment for me while a family member is recovering from surgery and I cant get out on the bike. I just rode for the first time in three months yesterday. Another month, life should be returning back to normal. That will be nice, as it will be time to do a stage one on the ultra. More living, less POD.

Oil. Do rags. Gas cap placement during refueling. The list of options is endless.
Don't mind saying I never quite got handle on your place here, John. No motorcycle and quite a bit of apologetic posts toward the Muzzie way. I will say you at times come across as an intelligent and thoughtful apologist, however.
When I joined the HDF I was in full-tilt get-a-new-bike mode, but sadly my finances have conspired against me and it's completely out of the question, unfortunately, unless I win the lottery or Ed McMahon shows up with a big-*** check. I still keep the dream alive of getting back in the saddle one way or another, but until I get my family taken care of and back on even footing I just can't put out the cash, even for a beater bike. If I knew years ago how bad things would be now, I never would have sold my last ride, a mid 80's Yamaha. If I hadn't been bouncing around in the service, I might still have my Sportster from even before then. But hindsight is 20/20 and here I am. I do come across as a Muslim apologist, and I suppose in a way I am; my only purpose, though, is to clear up misconceptions about it. Having been there and done that helps a lot, but I can't say my own experience is anywhere close to The Big Picture. I understand some people are going to absolutely hate it- I get that- but I'd rather them hate it for a truth rather than a lie or a misunderstanding. And, although I haven't had to do it, I'd do the same thing for Judaism or Christianity or any other religion I'm familiar enough with. I'm not a religious person any longer, so I have no ties or loyalty to any of them.
When / IF the POD opens up again, hopefully we'll find it a little less nerve-wracking sorting through the posts and garbage.
