HD forum VIN decoder

Default HD forum VIN decoder
Question, so far I have tried to use the HD forum vin decoder. First on my 2013 Street Glide and now on my 2019 Ultra Limited. Basically says it does not recognize the vin. Is this still being supported ? No Biggy with all this free time I figured I would try it out again.

I thought someone from HD forum would explain the system is not currently working or is being updated or something.

I didn't know there was a VIN decoder on HDF. Where is it?

I tried the Harley Davidson one earlier. It goes right to a pick your language screen. And none are English. Weird!

Isn't there a section in the owners manual that shows you how to decode the VIN?

There is. In the Owners' Manual they will list all of the VIN information related to your bike type. So for an Iron 883 manual for example, it'll have VIN info for all Sporters in that model year.

Also, I created my own Harley Davidson VIN Decoder here.

Seems to work pretty well, the only issue is determining the model year. Harley VINs can refer to two different model years, one before 2010 and one 2010 and after. I haven't figured out how they do it yet.

Seems to me I found that somewhere, don't remember where, with Google.
