Why is it that no matter which computer or browser I use to access this forum, the screen jumps around like crazy? I'm guessing it has to do with all the ads loading, but it makes for a really frustrating user experience. You go to click on an item and the screen jumps and you've clicked on something you didn't intend. I'm a member on a number of other motorcycle and other forums where this doesn't happen, so it would seem there is a solution. It would be great if the solution found it's way here.
I have never seen my screen jumping around...Perhaps you could make a short video using your phone and post it in here so we can try to analyse what's wrong?
Try installing an ad blocker. I use ad block plus on my laptop.
My tablet on the other hand does not have an ad blocker and it jumps all over the place like you are describing. It gets so bad half the time I don't even log into this site with it.
Happens to me but I know to wait a second and it'll settle. I grew up with dial up internet so I know what to do.
THIS. I notice it on occasion when my bandwidth is getting low (kids streaming, wife watching netflix, etc). If you watch the progress bar, it will tell you when it's finished and you can click then. It's likely not HDF's problem; it's mostly a bandwidth thing. Of course, you can always upgrade your bandwidth too.
Does anyone know if you get fewer ads and potentially a better user experience if you become a paid member to the forum? From what I read in the membership area, it looks like you only get more PMs and a bigger signature, which have no value to me, but less ads certainly would.
