How to edit "Likes" notifications?

I had the same situation. Never had these notifications before, then I started getting them. Follow the above post and no more of these notification.

OK, so I've followed the instructions you guys posted and edited my options and saved the edit... TWICE, and I still get notified every time someone likes a post from me. Its annoying.

Underneath the "disable Likes Notification there is another box;
Notification for new "Thanks" on your posts?
Receive notifications
Make sure it is unchecked. then save changes again.
