Why not move threads to POD instead of closing them?

Why not move threads to POD instead of closing them?

Sometimes threads in off topic get political and they are closed or even worse disappear. Why not just move them to POD?

Some are some aren't. Sometimes there's a similar thread in the POD. Sometimes it's left there as an example of what not to post. It's up to the mod or admin.

Someone posted about price of gas I don't see how that wouldn't get political...but still it could be an honest mistake.

The thread about gas prices has stayed on track. At least one other mod has been keeping an eye on it. You guys can all relax now. Things are under control.
