Just curious as I am somewhat new to posting here. Submitted a reply to a post with a couple of pictures, just of my bike. Hours have passed without it being "approved" or actually posted to the thread. What is the normal turnaround for a moderator to approve a post?
Thanks much TriGeezer, I reposted to the same thread and did not get the "you'll be notified when it's approved" or whatever the message was this time, strange. No spankage!
So I posted some items for sale and was interrogated as 1) a potential business owner, 2) A person trying to make a buck, and 3) someone flipping parts
I was also discouraged from posting more items for sale. ( btw, I have the conversation saved).
So, I see others are posting much more than I and I've looked at the rules and now I can't help wondering if I was targeted or if there is some hidden standing rule(s) for:
1) how much a person can post for sale
2) can a business post
3) does a person have to prove the parts came off their bike
Can someone please clarify so it doesn't seem like enforcement is based on whimsy?
Moderators are a necessity, and I personally thank each and every one of them, too many people have a hidden agenda and could be posers rather than people that just like to ride. Don't assume I am talking to anyone directly, unless you know it fits, otherwise, please, no offense intended...
I guess that question is directed at me. No, you were not singled out. I never discouraged you from posting more ads. In fact, I told you everything was all right. When I see someone hit the magic number of posts they need before they can post ads and they then post a large number of them, I get suspicious. I think they may have joined HD Forums just to flip parts and make money. So I investigate. That's part of my job here. Sorry if you were offended by it. As to how others are treated, you have no idea what they did or did not go through, so don't make suppositions. If you wish to discuss this further, send me a PM.
