everything appears to be working from what I can see. the images from post 2363 are being linked from facebook. Facebook kills their links after a set period of time, so that's why they stop appearing.
I don't log into Facebook anymore and when a post contains a link from FB, I have to hit quote to see the link, then I can co0py and paste to another tab to view the content.
I think some folks have this same issue with Twitter links if they do not have a Twitter account.
Here's a current screen grab of the memes thread in off topic/humor. I posted this from a desktop and it won't display for me on my phone.
Notice also, that it won't display the picture in the quoted reply of my previous post. I posted that from the desktop also. Neither the original post, nor brakless's quote displays for me on my phone.
OK, I think I've figured out something about this and it looks like Robb M. was right all along (no surprise there). From time to time, I just right click on FB and select "copy image", then in the meme thread, I just Crtl+V and post. That usually always works, but this morning when I did that, the image wasn't available on the immediate refresh after posting. I reloaded the page, and it was still that way. So I did an actual image download, then uploaded it here and it displays fine. I think Robb's comment about FB links expiring is the root of all this. For example, here's a post from yesterday that I did that with that won't display today, but from the likes on the post, it was obviously displaying yesterday. I think it's all about "copy image" and pasting here. You can get the same result with a literal download and upload, without the expiring link showing up dead later.
