Mods, is there a way to filter the "New Posts" search to exclude certain forums? I know this can be done with vBLive but I don't use that feature because it shows posts rather than threads. I am specifically looking for a way to search new posts by thread while excluding certain forums.

I see that I can save my search preferences, so I could set up my search that excludes specific forums, I "saved" my search preferences but they don't save... Also looks like I don't know how to even create a search for new posts because I need to add keywords... Any ideas on this?
Is there a way to save a search? i.e., I setup a search for new posts in all but a couple forums, then I would be able to save that search to repeat it in the future.

 

Just an FYI, you can subscribe to a specific Forum and then it will show you new posts on just that Forum.

You could subscribe as many forums as you want and they will show on your user CP page.

 

this is not possible from a technical perspective. we have a project in the works to add filtering to the new posts shortcut though.

with the new posts, you also get the endless Welcome posts. I can live without seeing those

just about anything other than that can be of interest, spark an idea, be cause for research but not get the same posts telling us how to add a sig or veteran tag
