We are super excited to launch a new way to enjoy the HDF community from your mobile devices!
It's still a beta but beginning today if you're logged in and visiting the Community from your mobile device, you can now choose a dark mode theme in addition to the standard 'bright' theme we've always had 😎
We are looking to you for comments about the experience, we appreciate any feedback you're able to provide.
We also recognize that some of you would like to see a dark mode on desktop, we do too! Our first goal is to perfect this mobile experience and our hope is to release dark mode for all browsers before Christmas.
Please log in from your mobile, turn the dark mode on using the Hamburger menu and let us know your feedback in this thread.
If it is a black background with white text it is bad for my eyes. Getting old my pupils are slower to respond when the screen is a light colour again.
One glitch I've noticed. The image below is a post in light mode. Notice the bolded text.
The same post in dark mode. The bolded text is visible. The rest is barely visible.
what is happening here is the OP was copy/pasted from elsewhere and so it contains text that is assigned a specific colour (black), we are aware of this limitation but do not yet have a resolution.
Cool , seem to work fine but it's only on mobile on the phone.. Never really like it and I have a big phone. Can you set it also at full site on the phone with out affecting the PC use. I'm old and have terrible sleeping habits from years of back-shift work. Nothing unusual for me to be on at 3AM....
At least I know a new term now. Hamburger menu..Love it.
