Default copy and paste text issues.

When using "dark mode", sometimes text from a copied article appears as dark text and is unreadable, unless it is highlight with the mouse.

Conversely, I just found out that this is happening for members who do not use dark mode, the text is rendered as white and is unreadable.

I don't remember this ever happening prior to the launch of dark mode. Is there a way for tech to resolve this issue?

When I have had similar problems pasting text like that (formatting changed), I pasted to Notepad, copied form there and pasted the text in. Notepad removes background formatting. This may be different, but might be worth a try until something better comes along.

If you quote someone just, change the text color to anything but black or white.

I never use dark mode. I have noticed posts with very light print lately. Just get rid of dark mode. Turn down the brightness of your phone manually if you need to. It’s insane to make you have to select a different color to avoid the simpler process of just turning down the brightness.

this is not related to dark mode, it's just more noticeable now. The editor is WYSIWG so it copies existing formatting and preserves it without you seeing/knowing it. so if you copy text from a white background and paste it into dark mode, it's going to be black on dark. you can resolve this by tapping the 'source' button and then pasting.
