Audio Upgrade Question
FLHTK 2023
Hi Everyone,
Just purchased a 2023 FLHTK here in MA and I would like to upgrade the stock stereo. Any suggestions staying in the $2k-2500 range as I want to add some rear lighting as well. I already received prices from Volunteer Audio and American Hard Bag but both are almost $4k......ouch. I understand, we get what we pay for but I am just looking to hear the tunes not for competition.....looking for the new Soundstream radio, amp, 6 speakers and hopefully plug and play. I don't want to lose my HD warranty ......Thoughts

I had the Wild Boar system installed last year in Laconia. 4 speakers and 2 400 watt amps. The sound is outstanding! I have no problem hearing everything at 80mph on the highway. And the sound is superb. The downside is you still have the Harley Stock radio. I know lots of folks poo poo Wild Boar, but they're ALL made in China, and the Wild Boar quality is outstanding and proven by having the best warranty over the others. As far as Volunteer Audio goes, they are the best at their craft, and they'd put together a package you could afford I'm sure. My amps and speakers were $1700 installed by The Fairing Exchange. They're at tons of rallies from Laconia to Sturgis, to Daytona, you name it. I'd love to put the Soundstream radio head unit in, if it would work with the amps that I have. No one seems to be able to answer that for sure. I have a friend who lives only 100 miles from Volunteer in Tennessee, and may on a visit to him stop by and see if it would work, next spring, otherwise I am VERY pleased with the Wild Boar. Took me through 7200 mile trip cross country and back this summer.

I appreciate your response. Seems kind of hard getting info on these forums so I do appreciate it.
I did a lot of youtube research on this subject as I dont want to spend $3600. on music, but I may come close it seems. Carlos from NVS in New Jersey seems to like the GTS more than the Soundstream. So I am leading towards keeping my stock radio and adding the Volunteer Audio amp and 6 speakers from VA, and seeing how it sounds before throwing another $1k for the Soundstream.
