I expermented a few times with multiple clicks, it seems
to work every time. If it stalls, click again, and it will go through.
Probably drives the server nuts though
Learned to save a copy of post before hitting the "post quick reply". If I run into an error, at least I have a backup copy because when you go back, your post is not there.
I find if I'm posting a long reply or thread I will get dropped and have to re-log in. Then I have to start over. I find it's also very slow, prob because of the traffic.
For some reason, at least on the West Coast, our routing is going first to Seattle for DNS (name server) requests and then back down to LA where the forum servers are. In the past, this wasn't true.
We are getting DNS and forwarding back to LA from Savvis.net which imho sucks.
Our routing used to go right down Quest's backbone, through Silicone Valley (Bay Area) directly to Mzima.net who hosts this site.
Ok here's a new one. When I'm at work, the site works just fine. When I go home, the headers load ok, but the forums and anything below the headers takes about 5 minutes to load, if they load at all. It doesn't time out tho, just don't load. It happens on both my computers at home. I can't tell if its my router, ISP or this site. It also does this on weather.com sometimes. Any Ideas?
I will post my resolution in case anyone else is having an issue and does a search. I had to update the firmware on my wireless router. Works fine now.
