I see .&nbsp\\ all over the posts. What is that all about?

It is computer coding. Hard to explain, but it ends up there from cut and paste and other things.

&nbsp is html code... the stuff that this web page is made with, it's a bug in the forum software ....mixing html code with what should actually be displayed.
&nbsp is the html code to represent a white space ' ', such as from a space bar press

Yeah, it's just code for a space. The old forum software would make it visible in the messages if you did certain editing keypresses and was very irritating. After the board was migrated to the new software, some folks missed it and would type in the code so their messages would look like the old ones. I'm just glad it's fixed.
