Viewing (img) files

I tried a search for this but no luck. some attachments I can see others just show up as a (img) upload/ 759490430459 kind of file. I cannot get them to open no matter what I do. I have made sure the img box is checked in my options. I must be doing something wrong. Any help on opening these? I am missing out on some great pics I am sure!

If those links are in someone else's post then you won't be able to view them if they are not linked correctly, sometimes the host they are using has deleted the pic or the pic poster has removed the pic from their picture host.
