I recently updated to Internet Explorer 8 and since then this site runs so slow on my computer it takes for ever to open anything. It works fine at work so I know it is my computer at home but what can I do. I know this isn't a site related problem but it is keeping my from my daily HD Forums fix. Any suggestioins out there?
Are you running Vista or XP? I upgraded to IE8 on Vista and it is actaully faster for me.
Did you do a Windows Software Update after installing IE8? You may want to try that.

I am running XP, my windows update is set to automatically run every night. I talked to a tech at work and he said IE8 has some bumped up security filters that may be causing the slow down so I'll try to tweek that some as see if that helps.
I have two new laptops and have Firefox on both. I started using it a year and a half ago when I noticed that the forum was really slowing down on IE. Every now and then I click on IE just to remind myself how bad it sucks.
