Have you tried to ping hdforums.com when you perceive that the site is slow? Every time that I ping the site I have response times well under 50mS, and I never have any noticeable lag with my new i7 box, Google Chrome, and broadband cable connection.
If you could, when you have these "slow load" times, see what the thing is that is holding it up and let us know! (it should show up in the bottom left hand corner of the browser for example in firefox!)
Here is one error I keep getting:

I have had nothing but problems with this site and a boat forum I have belonged to since 2001 that is also an Internet Brands site.
The problem started when they got hacked a few weeks back. It took me a week at least to finally get back on. Then it has been VERY slow and I cannot access more than three threads before I get locked out and get a message that "I've been aborted". Then I have to sign back on and start over.
It has really taken the pleasure out of the site and after this amount of time I assume they are not going to do anything to correct it.
Are there any NON Internet Brand Harley sites out there? I'm looking for a new home.

That's when I began having problems too. It ran without a hitch before that.
Add me to the list of members who are having constant difficulties with the HD Forums site. I've gotten into the habit of saving my pending posts to my clipboard, not knowing if they'll make it or not.
Appears to be time for a Host/Server change if these people can't get their act together.
We made some significant changes to the site yesterday, and will be making some more this morning that should improve speed dramatically.
Starting yesterday, I cannot log in to this site. I log in and then get a welcome screen that says it will be redirecting as it usually does. But then, it bumps me back to the log in screen. I have to go and find a post and hit the "quote" button to get a different log in screen that tells me I'm not logged in so I can't post. Once I log in under that page, it finally lets me on.
