Default IP Banned?

I tried to log on to the forum this morning from my home internet connection, and got a message than an administrator had banned my IP.

As you can see, this is my first post, and I am able to log in from my work account, so I doubt it's because of something I did...

My home ISP is Hughes.net. Is all of Hughes.net banned?

Is your home IP static or dynamic? If its dynamic try powering down your modem. When you turn it on it should request a new IP from the server.

It's still banned on my home desktop, but right now I'm having no problem on my laptop, which is wireless to the same router (and thus modem) as my desktop PC. I'll reboot the PC and see it it clears up.... I haven't reset or power cycled either the router or the modem.

Anything connected to the same home router will show up as the same IP on the web server. Me suspects it may be browser settings if only one PC connected to the same router is impacted. Do you have cookies disabled? Are you using a up to date version of Firefox, Google Chrome or, if you must, Microsoft IE ?

Well a re-boot of the PC fixed it. I use Firefox, and it may have done an update or two since I last rebooted it. Good to go now.
