Since I didn't change anything, and didn't ask for these emails, whoever can take care of this, please take care of it.

I don't want anymore email notifications.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this.

OK, yours is fixed but I don't have time to do this for each and every member who has their User CP set incorrectly. Here are the steps to fix your problems.

1) Go to your User CP (left side of the blue tool bar at the top of the page) and click on it.

2) Scroll down to "edit options" and click on it

3) In the section titled "Default Thread Subscription Mode" select "Do Not Subscribe" not the "No Email Notification."

This will stop you from automatically subscribing to each and every forum you post in or start a thread in. Now, to get rid of the hundreds of already subscribed threads in your account follow these instructions:

1) Click on the "Quick Links" drop down at the center of the blue tool bar at the top of the page.

2) Under the "miscellaneous" section (the fourth section in the drop down) click on "Subscribed Threads"

3) If you are like the last guys account that I fixed you will have a ton of these (he had 335). You will need to delete all of them. You will not get any new subscriptions or emails if you followed the instructions in the first section above.

4) above all of your subscriptions on the top right you can select a box that will check all the boxes on that page.

5) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and in the drop down box and click on it. Select "Delete Subscription" and then click on "Go." You will delete one page at a time doing this.

6) Continue doing this until all of your subscriptions are deleted.

You subscribed to them automatically by having your User CP set incorrectly. See my above post to fix this.

If I never touched anything since I began posting a year ago, do you know why these emails started appearing, all of a sudden, this week?

Yes,

Many people have been complaining for over a year about not receiving emails. For some reason a bunch of IPs were blocking HDF. Apparently, we just got the problem fixed.

Just so everyone knows. The default setting in the User CP was on "Daily Email Notifications" or something like that. I just changed it to "Do Not Subscribe" so any new members signing up will not have this problem.
