Im on this forum pretty much daily anymore, and sometimes multiple times a day given the thick coating of ice and snow ohio currently has. Ive noticed something lately that bothers me quite a bit... the advertising on this site. Im not talking about the products that we put on out bikes, im not talking about the respectable vendors on the site, Im talking about the Victory and Kawasaki advertisements floating around on each page I read. No love for the HD? The company for which this site was named after? Lets get some advertising for the new blackline soft tail, or the newly redesigned 1200 custom, something at least from the Harley family... I know money is money and everyones favorite color is green, but damn, competing companies advertising on a Harley forum?

 

I don't see any of that, but use "Firefox" as my browser. There was a thread not too long ago about how to stop those advertisements. Think this is it.

money is green and harley makes theirs by spending it wisely. why would they need to spend money for advertising on a forum that is all about them? the majority of the readers of this forum would never buy anything but a harley. the moco spends its advertising dollars where they can get the most return on their investment. you are already hooked, they are trying to catch new fish.

 

You don't hang a add in your own building, you hang it where the competition is and can see it. Maybe Harley advertises in a Honda forum. Besides, nothing wrong with a Victory or Kawasaki, lots a people like em, kinda like cars or tv's. There was a time when you could buy a Honda,
Suzuki or Kawasaki at a Harley dealer and vice versa.
