I had put up an announcement last week that we were having problems but I took it down when I thought it was fixed. I use the latest Firefox and I'm fast as lightening. I'm not sure what the problem is but I'll report it again. I'm on here all the time every day so I usually notice any small problems. I use two Dells and a Toshiba Netbook on Cable Internet, Home Depot's Wireless and Starbuck's Wireless and just don't have any problems.

Also, make sure you have a good anti spyware program (that slows your computer down about as bad as anything I've had, dump your cache and cookies and reboot. Anytime I've had problems here on HDF that has taken care of the problems (if it was on my end). Our servers are monitored 24/7 for any problems and they have said that they are working perfectly. If you are using Firefox make sure to block all the ads and it is also much quicker. I don't know what else to tell you.

I'm using Windows XP and IE8. My virus software is Avast which is not very obtrusive.
Problem started around the first of the year. I keep my computer very clean and just a month ago got a new computer and have the same issue. Same on my laptop as well.
Absoluetly no issues on the many other websites and forums I frequent.
It appears to me it's a problem with this site and Internet Explorer.
Thanks for your help.

Well, funny it doesn't suck for everyone, I wonder why. Mine has had
no problems here except for the forum glitch of a couple weeks ago.
It run slow then but they cleared that up.I have Vista with IE9 on this
laptop and keep it updated. Sometimes your own settings become
corrupted or not updated and you run into trouble. That'll happen
with any browser over time. I am aware IE may take a little bit more
time to load some sites, but there's a reason. IE is more strict then
the others, ever wonder why some get mall ware or trojan horses and
end up with big problems? IE is fine for safe navigating..jmo
btw, McAffee may be slowing you up too, an excellent option would
be Microsoft Security essentials, doesn't use so much space and time.

There's got to be a glitch on HDForum.....won't load, click refresh, freezes up, not as fast as it used to be. Of course the ads load very quickly...running IE8.
