Does it suit the mods and Admin for new members to post stupid questions ? In 07 when I first joined trolls were not invited and their posts quickly got killed ... Has something changed ? Or Do members enjoy raking over the same coals ?
I'll admit I'm young at this but I have noticed that if a solid member points them out something bad happens--you'll notice whenever trying to flip through or make response that things start moving slow, & etc...that's the admin shutting something off or making changes.
But I do like poking others w/ my hot dog stick. Besides dumb questions are one thing, dumb answers are another. & we were all young once, running reckless w/ our pipe dreams of superiority we had yet to understand were frivolous. Frankly, I find them a good laugh.
It's a catch 22. If a new person starts a new thread with an old question, they get raked over the coals for it and bluntly told to do a search (which they may or may not know how to do).
But if they bring up an old thread, because they had a different question or just wanted to contribute their experience, then they get blasted for bringing up a old thread. Not going to please everyone.
Personally, I think that if they didn't ask dumb (or repeat) questions, this place would turn into a reading board instead of a "discussion" board. Also, it would give people less reason to bitch about something. What is it to you if someone posts a stupid (in your eyes) question? No one says you have to reply, or even open it and read it.

Maybe what you consider a stupid question may not be stupid to the OP or others. Some people in these forums may be just that, stupid. On the other hand people that think others are stupid may think they are just to cool and above it all, know what I mean?
I read a fair amount of threads on this site and I don’t really remember the last time I actually read a stupid thread. Maybe I’m just stupid for even responding to this stupid thread…
