Smile slow loading###Issue solved 2011-09-28###

Might be an issue with my IE but i doubt it.

Anyway, when left click a thread it will take several minutes to open and load but if i right click and open the thread in a new tab it loads fine. I only have this problem on this forum so i thought it might be a glitch or something. Its not really that annoying but if there is an answer to the problem I'm all ears.

There are several threads on this issue. Go into forum issues and look at some of the solutions. Short answer is to switch to a Firefox or Google Chrome.
You can also try downloading Add Block and Ghostery. It will help a bit with IE.

This has been a problem for many many months on this site. Everyone says to get rid of IE. I call BS on that. My IE works just fine on every site I go to EXCEPT this site! Some of the old posts about this issue were answered by the admin saying they were working on the problem. Again, I call BS. They ain't working on the problem. The problem maybe is just all the BS ads that need to load up before I can get to the page I want. Why the hell is this site the only one with this problem? Other sites have ads too, but none I have visited are as ssssslllllooooowww as this one! It's too bad - because this is a good site with tons of good info, but it is very frustrating when I have to sit and wait and wait and wait for every damn page to laod.

If your experiencing slow today or even for the last month, I would
suggest it's on your end. All my browsers are performing as they
should, fast.

It's your choice as it was mine to change browsers and be done with it.
The way the forum has been running this past month, no one should
have a complaint, even with IE. Have you kept it updated, like IE9?

I fought it for months and gave up. My belief is that it's a compatibility issue.
I'll tell you this, Firefox and Chrome work way better on all sites and have more options for blocking spyware, etc. You can keep both browsers, which I do, so you don't have to switch all your bookmarks over.

The only thing IE is good for is to download another browser like Firefox or Chrome...after that, it's useless, so delete it.

Ok I was resisting changing browsers... Pig-headed Irishman I guess.
This morning I downloaded Google Chrome and this site loads as fast as it should. This is the only site (I visit) that crawls using IE. Google and IE can co-exist. Easy to do, no troubles so far...

Give it a shot.

If Chrome has a Ghostery add-on. Go for it. It will block spyware. Add Block is good also.

Should not have to use a seperate browser just to view a site on the net. The issue is the adds and money. The owners/owner doesn't seem to care what the members think or he/she might be loosing members over the slowness of this forum.
