Default Double posting???

So, what's with all the duplicate posts here lately? I have been noticing quite a few in the last week or two. I have also noticed that on my computer on this site only, many times I have to click my mouse on something twice to get the page to respond. Anyone else???

Forum having "technical difficulties"?

Lack of patience. When something is causing your computer, or the website to run a tad slow, people get impatient and the first thing they do is hit the mouse more than once. This is the primary culprit. This site currently has it set up where you have to wait so long before you can hit the submit button on any one thread more than once. Those that are successful at double posting here really need therapy as they are even more impatient.

Yeah, it's like 5 minutes. Surely they aren't sitting there for that amount of time clicking their mouse. If they are then I would agree, they do need some sort of intervention.

It's not my computer. It works fine everywhere else.

Thats funny!! I tried to double post as a joke and got a response that I had just posted the same thing, so I thought it wasn't going to let me double post! Like was said, takes awhile for net sometimes.

Your post wasn't "identical". You posted the first one and then went back on another screen and posted again. I don't think the 5 minute window applies in that situation, just identical post from the same screen. Supposed to keep identical posts from occuring when someone inadvertantly double clicks on the mouse when posting.

The site has been slow lately. So people get impatient, and when they double-click, then it responds but with 2 posts. BTW IE sucks; I use Google Chrome. What next;Google "blacked out"?
