I help moderate a website for vets who own Jeeps called militaryjeepers.com. In there we have a way of narrowing down the members list to closest military instillation to see who is near you. I thought I would be cool if we could narrow it down by states and countries for out international members.

A few months ago a couple of changes has been made for New Members and Old Members who are updating their profile.
1) Forename (first name) is a required field
2) Location (where you live) is a required field
These come up as "required fields" when you register and old members will have to fill them out if they try to modify their profiles.
These are searchable fields.
This only works well if members don't use location names like "2nd tree left from nowhere".....
