Default Should HDF have a "LIKE" button?

EDIT: STOP. Don't waste your time reading this suggestion. Guess it didn't pan out here...

Another poster brought up a good point today about the "LIKE" button on Facebook.

This software has a "THANKS" button so anyone / everyone can show a simple sign of appreciation of posts that are deserving. (Not to be confused with the Facebook "like" button already there.)

The "Thanks" in this software permits the person reading the post to thank the person who wrote the post. This allows you to show simple appreciation to what you have read, without making a post about it.

The "thanks" only appears on the posts you want to click the "thank" button on and only shows here at the forum.

The software places your name next to the "thanks" notice so the poster and others will know who has enjoyed, or appreciated what was written.

Well written and valuable posts are then noted by the number of people who thanked the poster for his contribution.

It's very "social" to have this feature on a chat board.

ALSO, each poster will have a tally of the number of "thanks" they have received showing in the area where the number of posts show now. This will also lead to knowing members who posts are worth reading.

I thought it would be an improvement to the forum, even add a little more rapport amongst members that post and those that never have.

I was here then. I don't remember seeing anything about it. Oh well.
