How do you put a picture under your signature?

 

you have to have the image hosted on a web server somewhere out there. Once you have it, in your sig setup (under your Profile), you put the URL wrapped with the image tag

example (without all the spaces)
[ i m a g e ] URL [ / i m a g e ]

 

OK, I'm trying this but it ain't working... what am I doing wrong, or does this forum not recognize/ accept Picasa Web Albums as a hosting site.

Here is the code I enter into my signature:



Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! This is getting to be VERY frustrating!

That's not an image address. That's a web page address. Try this: http://lh5.google.com/image/brgtr3/R...g/IMG_0800.JPG

 

Whoops, that web server won't let you link directly to the image. You're going to have to host the image elsewhere. Sorry.

 

alright here is a dumb question. How do you find a web server to host a picture?
I have to fiqure that one out before I try to do the rest.

I tried it in the test forum and it worked ok.

go to http://photobucket.com/and get a free account. Then upload your photos. The site will give you a IMG code you can us for your sig. You'll understand when youdo it.

 

I was just working on that myself. Lets see if it worked.

 

As long as folks don't go crazy, you can send me your picture and I'll host it and then give you a link to it that you can use on the forum.
