Default Cut and Paste feature gone???

For some reason with this new format at HDForums.com, I cannot cut and paste when working on posts???

Before you could easily right click, copy, pasteand bingo.

Am I a dumb a$$ or what - don't see an icon for that either???

THANKS.

I just copied and pasted your post with no problem. I didn't use quote (as you can tell). I high lighted your post, right clicked and copied and then pasted it in my post. I'm not sure what would be causing your problem.

I just copied and pasted Terry's reply. The copy and paste kept the formatting and bold type.

If you know how to copy and paste, don't even bother to read the rest of this post.

For those who read this thread and don't know how to copy and paste, read on....

Just highlightwhat you want to copyby holding down the left button on the mouse, drag the cursor to highlight what you want to copy. Release the left button, place the cursor on the hghlighted text, right click and select copy. Move the cursor to where you want to paste the text. Right click and select paste.

Gents:

That is funky. I am running Windows 2000 with the latest service packs and updates along with the latest Java.

But let's be sure we are talking the same thing here.

I can cut and paste from other peoples postslike all you guys have done above.

What I CANNOT do now is cut and paste my OWN text from WITHINthis response and reply.

In other words, if I wanted to repeat my first line above right here ("That is funky. I am running.....") in this post I have to RETYPE it completely.

So I am talking about cutting and pasting your OWN lines within your OWN reply.

THANKS.

You are correct. I was talking to the owner on IM last night when you asked this question. The new software does not support the cut and paste feature as you state it. You can not copy and paste in your own post while you are typing it. There should be an upgrade coming out for our software that will fix this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't copy/paste with Firefox.

It seems that Firefox doesn't like the new format of this forum.

Is anyone using the latest version of Firefox, and not having any problems with the forum at all?

Steve
