Are you clicking on the QUOTE button in the lower right corner of the person you wish to quote first? If not, and you're trying to insert someone else's quote after you've typed your post, then you will not get the quote box. But, don't quote me on that.

I looked at a few of your posts and didn't see any quotes. Are you just seeing what's in the reply box you type into and giving up? That just shows what you're talking about with quotes in text like you're describing, until you click on the advanced button below it, and then click on "Preview Post"; you should see what it will actually look like then. If it's still text, and posts that way, then I don't know what the problem is. Try quoting this post and we can see what happens.

Hey Roadie, you got it. Just thought I'd add a little tid bit of info for formatting things a bit nicer.

you can add your own quotes buy simply typing the html tags around the text you want quoted.

For example (I will substitute a zero for the 'O')
[QU0TE] this is an example quote [/QU0TE]

will result in this... (when i type QUOTE properly)
this is an example quote

You can even nest the quotes, which means a quote inside a quote...

[QU0TE]
this is an example quote
[QU0TE]
this is a nested quote
[/QU0TE]
[/QU0TE]

now spelled properly it looks like this...

this is an example quote
this is a nested quote

Cool eh? Hope that is clear as mud.

Yep, and thanks to Zeus33, I learned about quotes in quotes, didn't know that.
