Recently our IT dept was told to start filtering many sites, all forums including this one are blocked. When I asked why, they said to improve productivity. I get that there will always be people who abuse the internet, but here is the kicker, Facebook is not blocked. No one probably goes to that site anyway.
Thankfully I don't get any gay or other **** sites but other than a thread or two full of photos and a few specific avatars I don't get good looking women's photos either. Oh, and I am not signing in from work.
i understand jealousy and envy from those who are to afraid to log in from work but i shouldn't have to worry about some UGLY person walking behind me by 75 yards and reporting it. ususally dont alert internet police as i am not using specific search words or maybe i thought this was a motorcycle forum with an area for user photos? did the TOU change after the web site was purchased?
Makes me glad I have a job that I don't have to worry about that. When nothing is happening (it rarely does!) I just sit in front of my panel in my big high back chair with my feet up and my laptop. Usually spend most of my work day surfing the net or watching TV.
Assume you are talking about the picture battle and galleries banner on the main forum page, usually just bikes but sometimes something more!
Why don't you just bookmark a page further into the site?
Instead of loading the main forum page, bookmark the new posts page or some other section of the forum. You can also go into the User CP and turn off the avatars, pictures and signatures so something racy doesn't pop up unexpectedly. Pics and signatures will only appear as links then, you can click them if you dare.
