Google chrome and roll over windows

Google chrome and roll over windows
I'm using Google Chrome, is there anyway to stop the pop-up windows when you roll over certain underlined words? I found some info on Internet Explorer but not on Chrome.

Vibarnt ads are like a virus they are on so many sites now every time you disable them they come back. some software will block them for awhile.
The web site allows them on the site bedcaues they get paid best way to stop them if we all let site know get rid or them or we are gone.

Thanks for the input. After a little more research, it seems that AdBlock for chrome is a popular choice. So far it is working well. All adds are gone. I understand how add are necessary. The add that run down the right side of the screen don't really bother me. Its just the ones that pop up when your mouse arrow runs over the top of the underlined words.
