Looks as if someone has been busy recently, merging the DIY forum with the Tech forum. The two always seemed to be easily confused, especially for new members, so congratulations to the chaps behind the scenes for simplifying things.

Your reasoning is the exact same used to speak with the powers above. They agreed. The main page of the site is shorter and everything should have a generic topic now.
Moving new post to the proper forum will be a bit tedious for a while until everyone gets the hang of it.
