Could someone please tell me how to respond to someone personally who has sent a welcome?
I may be a little slow and feel like but with the old brain it just hasn't made sense yet.
Most just reply in the thread that you first posted in. When you get 5 posts and are a member for 5 days, you can reply to their post if it's a PM...personal message.

Thanks, think I've hit the 5 mark on both today so the rest should be downhill from here
Or you can use the control buttons to the right and belowthe post/posts you're wanting to respond to (see sample pic below)
The first button "Quote" lets you quote just that post in the "Go Advanced" screen witch allows you to use all the bells and whistles when posting.
The second button "MultiQuote" (will turn red when selected) will allow you to select multiple posts. Hit New Reply to reply to all selected. Again it will open the "Advanced" posting screen.
And the third is a "Quick Reply" button for that post. Which is the same as using the little editing screen at the bottom of the last post.
Thanks Eve,
that did make it much clearer but I think the pic I first thought of as being the sample made it a little rough to read the response .. meant in clean fun
