front wheel differenc

I have a 1996 Bad Boy softail springer. It has a 21" wheel with a single front brake mounted on the right side. A guy has a 21" wheel that he says fits a 2001 wide glide. My question is what is the differences between the two? Axle diameter? Hub width? Spacing? Brake mounting? I haven't been able to see the wheel yet to compare them. Thought you guys with more experience would know. Thanks.

I'm looking for pretty much the same info. I've got a 01 Softail and would like a "beefier" front wheel. No response to my post either

one diference is that the 96 has a 3/4" axle and the 01 is 1" I don't know about width.

im not sure about the space between the forks on a springer, but a wide glide wheel doesnt interchange with much of anything. if you want a beefier wheel you may want to consider a 19" wheel, theyre usally wider and a wider front tire.
