Default Rust???

I've got a 2007 Nightrain with a 21" front spoke wheel. I bought the bike in October and it already has rust on the rim and on the spokes. I took it back to the dealership and they said there is nothing they can do about rust. I thought that was pretty shady especially on a $20,000 bike. I keep the bike covered and out of the weather. Eventually I would like to get a black spoke wheel. But for now, I don't want to ride around on a rusted wheel. Is it true that this is not covered under warranty? And, could I get away with painting the wheel?
Thanx.

You can powder coat the wheel.....it would be cheaper though to just replace the rim.

If it's that new just polish the rust away and put a coat of wax on. You'll be okay

You should be able to clean the rust off and keep it polished up. You should be fine, just keep an eye on it.
