So after dis-assembling and removing my E-Glide fairing assembly, the fender, front wheel removal I *attempt* removing the forks...
I've totally removed the "pinch-bolts" and even tried "widening" where it "pinches" with a cold chisel (yes, gently!) but those forks are almost impossible to slide out!
They're approx. 2 inches down & out on one side and about 4in. on the other.
I don't want to "assist" them too aggresively (already using 8lb. hammer + drift as a driver) at the risk of bending the triple trees assembly...
half a can of lube, 100 or so whacks with the "BFH" one busted thumb-nail, and several expletives later I'm up for asking YA'LL for some advise!!!
I had problems getting mine out also. Used a lot of PB Blast and a 8# hammer with a piece of scrap alum between the top fork nuts. Once I got it past the top triple tree I was able to pull the leg out as I twisted it back and forth. Rust build up on the triple trees was why. Are the legs past the upper tree? If so you can unbolt the triple tree anddrop the fork legs with the lower triple tree. This way you can turn the legs upside down on to blocks of wood and try tapping the tree down. This late I would spraythe legs down with a good penetrating oillike PB Blaster and let is soak overnite. Good Luck.
thanx for the response, I DID finally get the thing out... It was a bugger right up until it fell out of the bottom triple. I must've used half a can of spray lube, also ended up using a screw-style camper jack between upper and lower triple tree (YES, I braced it to avoid bending something!)
Now I've got the forks torn apart and need to find some tubes that AREN'T bent to re-assemble it all [&:]
My bike is a 2000 model with @ 26K miles and I was really *surprised* to see that much rust inside the tube clamp area of both upper and lower trees... Maybe it was parked outside before I bought it is all I can figure?

I believe your forks do not have the cartridge in the left side. I do have one non-cartridgetube I could send you as I switched over to running the cartridge in both legs and they take a different tube. PM me with your address and I will send it to you. I also have 1" lower springs -1 new and 1 used - you can have them also as the cartridge setup uses different springs.
Didn't bend the forks while taking them out... The previous owner bent them while taking out a wild hog (*most* people hunt feral hogs with a *rifle*)

Only have the 1 tube as stated above so you will need to find/buy 1 more. Looking at the pictures you sent me you do not have the cartridge set up. I will PM you with the part number for the tube you need when I get home from work. I will include a parts drawing and parts breakdown with the parts I send. I can provide phone help if needed and will include my phone# in the PM.
