Default 2003 Fatboy wheels on 2002 FXST

I have searched and there are similar threads but nothing I could find specific to this. I have a friend who is going to give me a good deal on her stock 2003 Fatboy wheels.

Sounds like the front wheel swap is pretty straight forward, change the fender, add spacers to movethe brake, and maybe a wheel spacer difference. I have found out from searching here that the 2003 went to a different offset rear wheel on the Fatboy. Will this be as straight forward as the front? And with this rear wheel can I run a 150? Does the offset help run a wider tire?

Just want to make sure that the 2003 Fatboy wheels are going to work, and if they are any better/wrose than an earlier Fatboy wheel.

Thanks in advance!

Terry

I *believe* this should be a straight bolt-on. As far as I know, there was no wheel change until the 200 tire. As far as a 150, no problem. It'll fit the wheel fine, and (barring any wierd stuff) will clear everything (belt, swing arm, etc.) with room to spare.

Thanks for the reply jbt!

I'll get them and see how it goes and reply back with what I had to do.

If anyone else has more specifics, please chime in.
