Default Progressive drop in and 412's

Finally purchased the Progressive drop in kit and 412's for my fat bob. The drop in kit is extremely easy to install (did have one issue seems that the factory possibly cross threaded the right fork cover cap and just cranked it on any way. took a bit of effort to get off. cleaned up the threads and it is back on) I only dropped the front 1" since only I dropped the rear 1". the front seems a little higher but I will give it a few days of riding and settling.
I was unsure of the chart lengths (chart for pvc length is for full 2 inch drop) in directions made a quick call to progressive tech support to verify pvc length, and off I went.

As for the 412's I got black (look so much better than the chrome stock ones) I didn't get the heavy duty as I am only 190 and ride mostly solo (the standards according to specs should be fine). I still need to ride some to get a good feel for them. I am concerned that maybe I should have purchased the 412hd's. I set it to 2 and was still able to bottom out just bouncing on it bumped it up to 4 clicks and to a quick spin seems a little stiff but still better than stock. I will back off to 3 and ride it for a bit to get a feel.

Overall I like the feel, I haven't ridden it but around the block so far. The front end feels great more responsive and takes the bumps big and small way better than the stock springs. The front doesn't dive near as much and feels much better when it does.
I feel like I have more control of the bike braking, turning, cornering, and just going straight.
I have plenty of clearance for my bags when they are on.
Well I know it wasn't a super detailed review for the length of the read, but I only went around the block. The over all look is great, might drop off the bottom cup on the 412's cause I like the look of it without but for now it stays.
The ride was noticeably different compared to stock.

Bike: 2010 Dyna FXDF
Rider: 6' 1, 190lbs
Stock oil was left in the front forks (only lost a drop or 2 when I pulled out the stock springs.

Per some advice I read while looking for a shorter jiffy stand I pulled mine off cut off about a 1/4 inch off the tab that locks into the frame. Works perfect.

Thanks for the write up. I am considering lowering mine so this was helpful. Looks good by the way.

I've got a good couple hundred miles on the new fork springs and the 412's. The 412's seemed to have broken in a bit and ride smoother. At first i felt everything, (running over a quarter felt like dropping off a cliff) now i glide right over the smaller bumps. The front end has settled and is real responsive. thinking about getting the Ricor Intiminator after reading about them on this forum. who knows though i'm happy for now
