I have been using 1 of their jacks for about a year. I have never had any problems. The one I have is made of Iron. They also sell a lightweight aluminum jack.

I have been using a jack from Harbor Freight for about a year and have had no problems with it. I love it. It works well with my R.K.

Theyhave 2 jacks available. One is very cheap and poorly made and the other is hands down better and only 10 bucks more.
The cheap one is yellow and the good one is orange.
I have jacked mine up and pushed it around the garage and it is very stable. I noticed the other day when I was at Sears that their jack is the exact same one only painted black and another 10 bucks more.

I've got the yellow one and it is extremely fast with the weight of my Ultra on it. I've learned to tap it down slowly. It's a bit jerky but I've got used to it. Pretty scarey the first time though!

Whatever tool you buy from Harbor Freight, you can pretty much expect it to be a piece of junk.

The price of the lift usually has nothing todo with the quality of the bottle jack. I have seen high buck lifts have bottle jacks fail. I was using a 350 buck Dunwell lift when the seal blew out of the jack.

Thats is a nice jack , best part about it is its made in the U.S.A. , I would be willing to bet you would not be able to find a single tool at Harbor Freight Tolls made in the USA , thats a dam shame .

As always, you get what you pay for...

I don't trust my Bikes on annything less than the J&S Jacks. I have had problems with every other jack that I or friends have had.

With this jack, I can move the bike around the garage with it fully up (19 Inches) and all without strapping it down. This Jack is extremely stable, and your bike is very secure on it. You can even climb all over your bike with no problems...Very much worth the cost..

I have the HF jack and I don't seem to have any problem letting it down. My bike is only 500 pounds though. I have found that you have to touch that release pedal Veeerrrry carefully, though.

Incidentally, the same chinese factory that made that HF jack probably made the Sears jack, too.

As a matter of fact my bike is on mine right now. It took a while to get used to it but I have figured out that it only takes a little pressure to let it done.. I also use a block of wood under the jiffy stand so that I will not have to try to hoild it up when it comes down.. Practice with it and it will be your friend.. I have enjoyed mine and will not go and pay to much for something that works with what I got.. It took a while to realize that It was not going to fall off.. I have removed a muffler on the stand and the back wheel. When I have the wheel back on I will then change the oil cause it is time..

Not had any real problems with it..

Check out www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com Similar to J&S, quality does cost more.
