I just received my Note 4 phone and I need a cradle mount to connect to my Streetglide. The dude at RAM, said I should use model number HOLUN10BU. He then said "personally, he wouldn't use it." When I asked which cradle, he would use. He couldn't answer...
Anyway, you guys and gals who have the Note phone, do you use this cradle? I just worry about the phone blowing into the wind as I'm riding.

I don't think it would blow in to the wind, but I would look at the picture and try to make sure where the arms contact the phone there are not buttons they will interfere with. My nephew had this problem with his phone… I can't remember what phone he has though.
I had the X-grip for my iPhone 4S before. It holds phone very securely. I mounted the base of the X-grip to a mounting plate from Iron Aces Speed Shop (http://www.ironacesspeedshop.com/str...umo-gps-mount/) and the whole assembly was then mounted on the center of the dash of my 2013 Street Glide.
Although I liked the X-grip for it's ability to hold different products, I never liked the free play that is always there in its pivoting mechanism when it gripped the phone. Many times when I cornered hard with my bike, the phone would not stay horizontal after straightened out my bike. I kept having to adjust it with one of my free hands. It became so annoying for me that I switched to Rokform's phone mounts (and using it in conjunction with the mounting plate from Iron Aces Speed Shop). I love this current setup.
Buddy of mine went down on the Dragon. The bike went down and flipped from one side to the other. The hard bags opened, spilling the contents etc...pretty good impact. He had his I Phone fastened in the same mount. Never moved. I wouldn't hesitate to put my phone in one. Oh...and my buddy was ok...just a sore a$$.
I have the iPhone 6 Plus (slightly larger physical size because of the larger outer bezel) and it sits just fine in my Ram X Grip. No concerns. I had my iPhone 5 on there for many miles and no concerns at all, without or without cases. When it's in the X Grip and with the bike in the kickstand, if you try to pull the phone out (up or down) my Wide Glide will rock back and forth before that phone will come out. I was very skeptical at first, although I knew then I was ok.
Definitely recommend it!
(The only downside is without a windshield or fairing to block your phone on the mount, you may now have to "debug" the backside of your phone after a nice long ride, haha)

Thanks!
Did he say WHY he wouldn't use it, or were you satisfied with no answer about anything?
