It used to be so no one would use your photo in their magazine or newspaper without compensation. People would randomly snap pix at bike events and then use others likeness for product endorsement or something else, like that photo in Time Magazine in Hollister.

It kinda blew up from there. Check out any "In the Wind" mag and you'll see what I mean.

They're just still litte kids as I see it. Haven't hit adult maturity yet.
