I'll be 60 shortly, I like to ride when the weather is good, ( not raining), Can't say I've ever been what I would call a long distance rider, 300-500 mi/day is plenty for me, getting to be a little slower getting off the bike now, but just as fast getting on it.
Any nice afternoon I'll easily put 100-150 mi going absolutely nowhere.
I've been riding most of my years since I was 14. On my next birthday I will be 60. I have led a very happy and active life. Despite my best efforts to stay in good shape, I am becoming more aware of my limitations with each passing day. My reflexes are just not what they once were. I dread the day I will give up riding and only hope and Pray that it is my decision. It's going to happen to us all at some point.

In that case, I'd rather see you on a bike than in a car.
I know what you guys are saying. I rode for a lot of years in the 50s and 60s but quit when the boss presented us with twin daughters. Since she was strongly opposed to a bike I didn't ride again till last year. After 45 years, I lost her to cancer. Talked to my daughters and went back to riding again, first on a Dyna and now, at 73, on a new deluxe. None of my friends from way back are still around so I'm working on new friends that ride. So far, I'm the old man of the bunch.
Just traded my big fifth wheel in on a toy hauler so I can take the bike to Florida for the winter. I spend a couple of months on the Gulf coast but now, I'm planning to cut over for bike week in March. I had almost forgotten how great it was to ride. Almost got to 50 here yesterday so I got out for a short ride - need a few more miles for the 5000 mile service before I head south.
