I want to keep people guessing what it really is.

I'm going to take mine off when it's repainted, just like the clean looks is all. Oh, and I like them trimmed good if not shaved.

I guess for the same reason I leaded the trunk and hood of my first car back in the 50's. Some people think the smooth look is kool.

I had my bike re-painted after I bought new fenders.I didn't like the cheap-a** sticker HD cleared over so my painter dug it out and painted my tank.Liked it without the logo, people knoe what it is.

I could see losing the cleared over HD decal look,the decals don't do much for me but I really like tank badges.

There's something old schooland classicabout tank badges that add to a bike's character,I'll never forget going from Japanese bikes to my Triumph Bonniville.That bike had soul,it had personality and it had that Triumph tank badge.
