Do you have chicken strips?
Last night I was talking to a friend about riding & mentioned that I ended up dragging my boot heel when I layed it over in the curve on my Street Bob yesterday. He also has several bikes like I do, one of them being a sport bike. after I told him about dragging my heel, he stated that even his sport bike had "chicken strips" because he doesn't ride that hard. That got me to thinking, soI had to look to see if I have them too. Even leaning it over enough to drag my heels, there are still about 3/16" chicken strips on my tires. My touring bike has narrower,about 1/8"strips, and my old Yamaha XS650 twins are the bikes without chicken strips.

last summer i was working on getting rid of my chicken strips on my buell xb12. to make a somewhat long story short....i had 42 stitches, bike is totaled, and my insurance got to help replace a small section of guard rail on a mountain road. now i dont give a crap if someone says i have chicken strips. at least im still riding.

My Superglide Sport (FXDX) has a 130mm on the rear, and it is worn down over the edges from dragging the mids.
My Springer Classic has a 150mm on the rear, and it has unworn edges on it even though both floor boards drag all the time.

Chicken strips are good!I really like the deep fried ones, but grilled is ok to. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]
