I found some of the 12v rechargeable battery packs for $75 shipped on eBay. The cheapest I could find them anywhere else was $90.

I bought two sets for shorter trips. That way I can use one set and have the other set for backup. I'm also going to get an adapter so I can charge them on the bike. I can use one set while the other is charging if need be. And I'll leave the battery harness in place for use on longer trips where I'm not going to be taking the gloves off very often.
It'll be a lot nicer to be able to throw the gloves on and go without having to plug anything in.

They used to have the heated gear outlet, where thay'd sell "seconds" and out dated goods.... but thet site takes you to Gerbings main site.

I can tell you, that buying at full MSRP, will pay for itself, the first time you use the heated gear.

Living here in Raleigh, we are lucky... Gerbings is manufactured in Stoneville NC.
We attended their spring open house, last May, and they were dumping all of the old stock.
Gloves $30 Jacket liners $50 We really cleaned up.....
I'm wondering how you find out when their spring open house is? I'd like to take advantage of prices like that too. Thanks Glen

I'm just curious--how cold of weather are you guys riding in that you need heated stuff. I like to ride as long into the winter as I can and am thinking about getting some heated gear. I rode 211 miles the day after Christmas, it was 38 degrees. I have to admit on my way home it got pretty dang chilly. Have a nice pair a rabbit fur lined gloves, but my hands ached by the time I got off my bike.

Pretty much anything below 55 and I wear the heated gloves. The rest of my body seems to do well with the cold.

I grew up in Cleveland and rode whenever the roads permitted it. Never a heated anything, just bundled up in layers. I believe that I permanently injured my hands over the years from exposing them to that much cold. Today I can't ride in 45* weather without my electric gloves running at least 50%.

http://gordonsheated.com/ (lifetime warrenty)

from what I have read the "new" gerbing screwed the original owner out of his company when he got sick.....
Actually, when Gordon got sick, one of his son's took over. He ran the company into bankruptcy. A private equity firm bought it out of bankruptcy. From what I've heard and read, they are in it to make money, not for the long term, and IMO aren't all that concerned about quality. However, I've also heard they are bringing manufacturing back to the US from China to try and fix some of the issues.

I can state from personal experience that Gordon's heated gear is good and the service is the best anywhere.

To the original question, I bought all my Gerbing stuff from Revzilla. While it's hard to find it at a discounted price, Revzilla gives you 5% in Revzilla bucks you can apply to your next order so it's like a 5% discount.

On New Year's Day (yesterday) I rode 140 miles. It was 28 degrees when I left and 31 when I got home. I was testing some new heated gloves. With the new gloves, my jacket liner and pants liner along with a full face helmet it was a very pleasant ride.

well with that said I will never buy another Gerbing product (was not going to before to tell the truth) I work for a large company who was bought and sold by a "Investment group" and I can say with out a doubt they have no one else interest in mind...Not the consumer nor their Employees and from what i get everytime i talk to one Gerbings Employees they are not very happy with the present situation......doors are almost closed...with numerous calls to good ol Tex at gerbing with no return call or even a GFY.....

If your looking for a good deal on Gerbing gear check the classifieds next week

Gerbings posted on facebook, as well as the "events" page on their webpage.
We were heading to Greensboro, for the opening of the INDIAN dealership, and took a side trip north to Stoneville.
The blurb said "discounts"... but having been to other "open house" events, we were thinking, grab a free hot dog, look through the shirts, and leave. When we saw the prices we stocked up and bought as much as we could carry....Gloves, jacket liners, heated socks, and under shirts, for my wife ans I, cost less than one pair a gloves at MSRP

However... even buying at MSRP.... is monet well spent, when you see how comfortable you can be in cold weather.... Heated gear really extends your season
