petite female
I don't care what your wife said. Did your wife order you to post this?
Would you walk up to a strange woman in a restaurant and tell her: "My wife told me to tell you you're fat."?

I mean, if a guy came on and wrote that he wanted to become a biker and ask which bike he should start with ... would you turn around and ask him how big his small ***** is, and when was the last time he saw it?
Use your brain and accept "petite" is a euphemism for feminine and/or short in the leg.
How big is your wife, BTW? I think she might be being a little catty.
Nowadays, thanks to the miracles of the interweb and the kind generosity of American women folk, we can know exactly what what looks like ... and if this or this is unacceptable riding buddy for you, I'd be happy to take them out.
Let's see a picture of you in your jockey shorts ...
For the record: The average American female weighs approximately 165 pounds.
And that is a fact.
Sorry, dead wrong again. 5'3" and 140 pounds is a BMI of 24.8 which is normal. And, the average dress size today is 14.

And yeah, instead of being welcoming...some of you are choosing to bash someone's looks (which I'm sure is hypocritical in some of your cases). Good job.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I would never comment on a woman's weight. But petite implies small, not short, so I am not surprised the topic came up.
If a man said Tall muscular rider, but his picture looked like Pee Wee Herman, comments would fly immediately.
OP, don't get scared away. Lots of good advice on here. If you like softer responses, go on QOTR (Queens of the Road).

Started out on a cheap, light, easy to ride 650cc metric. Any of them will do. Mine was a '88 Suzuki Savage, great learner bike.
Then went to this (example): http://monterey.craigslist.org/mcy/4837046931.html
Loved my '99 HD Hugger.
After riding Sportsters for an accumulation of about eight years, I moved to my Dyna. This is what worked for me. I think Sportsters are fine to start on, but it helps to have some riding time behind you on a lighter bike first. Good luck!
