UPDATE ! Road Encounter With Douche Bag
For those that read the initial post and were interested in the outcome ...... The license plate on the SUV came back to a totally different vehicle. The license plate displayed on the SUV was stolen several days earlier before my run in with this clown. The SUV was found abandoned and it too was stolen. Bozo's prints are in the system and he has been positively ID'd. It is safe to say his arrest is very imminent.....the icing on the cake, outstanding warrants for armed robbery. YES, he was probably carrying during our encounter..... needless to say, I feel very fortunate. Thanks for your feedback. Ride safe !!

Glad you are safe. Good instinct on your actions. Some times when we act on emotions the out come is not a desired one. Your LEO training probably prevailed. Or the thought that you would have been on trial for your actions, not the criminal for his.

Good show of restraint on your part. You're a fine example of how to handle a situation like that. Easily could have escallated into something very serious if not deadly. I suspect with some LEO's it would have. Good job!!
