Those temps had past by the time I got it last year. We'll see.
Unfortunately nothing helps much when you're not moving in temps above about 97* or skin temperature. Also, bare skin above that can have the opposite effect. A long shirt or well ventilated jacket will feel slightly cooler even though it's counterintuitive.

A wet t-shirt under a mesh jacket is about the best you can hope for in extreme high temps.

Yep. On ALR or PGR missions we dump a lot water down our vests. Then more before we head home. Almost every time I'm dry by the time I get home. Normally an hour.

I've had a Joe Rocket mesh jacket with armor for years and it's been great. It's actually cooler than not wearing a jacket due to my arms being covered, but still allowing air to flow through.

Just a brain fart but back in the day when I was big into mountain biking I had all the garb. Again, no protection but the material they are made of (the shirts) wicks away any sweat and moisture. If you need protection you need something else.

If I was in California. I'd ride down to Motoport and have a air mesh jacket custom made for me. Here's a link, below. Its supposed to be one of the most protective jackets made that has good air flow. I'd like to have 1 but won't buy something this expensive over the internet. Cali is a long way from the wonderful state of Misery.

Bought a couple mesh jackets from leatherup.com for $50 each on sale, and I've been happy with them. They came with some light duty removable armor inserts.

Plus 1 on the Joe Rocket mesh. I've had one for years. Came with armor installed and a removeable rain liner. Works well. Cost $125 online. Went to local rice rocket dealer and tried a bunch on for size. Then ordered off the internet and saved $50...

Vanson produces a couple of different jackets from a fully perforated competition-weight leather. These feature the most ventilation I've encountered in a leather jacket.
They are supplied with armor, and are made in America.

Icon has good stuff. I have an Icon Overlord Stealth jacket. Excellent airflow. Too good for late fall or winter riding. I bought it in December, and rode with it on a 50° day, and nearly froze my a** off. It'll be my summer jacket!

Dainese stuff is really good too.

Another endorsement for Revzilla too. They typically have a video explaining the gear, and reviews from customers. Those more than anything have helped with my decisions. So far, I have not been disappointed.
