That's right...overcompensating for under sized genitalia. When people make fun of my small hands and feet, I just tell them, "God only gave me so much skin, and I didn't use it in my hands and feet."

After 17 years I would think the complete engine is due for replacement. Not just an increase in size.

So, is this a "size matters" thread ?

Just a thought, but self-pleasuring must be difficult.

93" is as big as you want to get with a shovel and still keep it civil and have decent longevity, They run bigger but the life span drops exponentially with every inch you go.

There's a break even point on harley motors 88 to 96 inch is the sweet spot for them and I don't give a damn what the fanboys are saying once you go over 103" on them you start loosing ground mechanically. Lot's of basic geometry and math don't lie just look at the issues the newer 103's and up are having with heat, crankshafts and a few other major components going tit's up regular

I did have the head mech. at the local dealer tell me that the 110" is the "worst" engine Harley ever made. I am aware that 93" is the max sensible Shovelhead motor and many believe 86 " is even better for longevity.

My 88" shovel ran better and had longer life than any 74 or 80 incher I've had. with size there's a break even point between bore size verse stroke and the 88 with a 4.250" stroke with a 3 5/8" bore still gave you a piston with a decent skirt length on it.

Todays motors the piston looks like the top 1-1/2" of a coffee can with an inch wide landing strip for a skirt, those don't do well with prolonged higher RPM's. One of the reason's the moco's been playing with the ratio's in the primary and the tranny so much , trying to keep those R's down. This in turn has lead to ever increasing problems in the primary with comp sprockets & chain wear along with bearing issues in the tranny's and few other things. Bigger the motor gets the shorter that piston gets to keep the engine the same outside dimensions , they want to get bigger an keep it reliable & long lived the motors gonna get bigger like the Victory's.

I will relate it to the Windows operating systems. Every few years Bill Gates needs a few more billion so introduces a new operating system. Was there anything wrong with the last? Shoot, I liked Windows 95. There were a couple bloopers but when I ordered a couple made for me computers last year I had Windows 7 installed. As mentioned, you can only go so fast.

Honestly aside throttle blippers at bike nights who actually uses a big motor to half it's potential as it is ?
You're right! My little 600cc sport bikes had half the motor and were twice as fast. More efficient and not just bigger is the way to go, but then again HD is a slave to image and can't go with progress for the sake of progress unless it matches their image.
