I'm 71 and would no more think of riding with a wind chill factor of 11* than I would think of riding naked. With that 11* wind chill factor, it may as well be below zero.
I lived in South Florida for 23 years prior to retiring to Maui and there is no way that I would ride unless the outdoor air temp is at least in the mid to upper 70's. I don't even have riding gear suitable for those under 70* temps. I hope your new (to you) bike can make it seem reasonable to ride in those weather conditions. Just out of curiosity, how many crazy looks did you get from the cagers in their heated cocoons?
