i have a really really stupid *** question though.

when the bike is at rest and on the kick stand, obviously it leans a bit to the left.
it's not a 2 man job jacking it up is it?

how is a person supposed to orient the bike level and jack it up?

very stupid i know but i need to know

It's a piece of cake. Put the jack under the bike while it is still sitting on the jiffy stand....just slide it underneath. Then go around to the other side, look under the bike to ensure the jack rails are centered.

Then go back to the jack, hang on to the handlebar to balance the bike and start pumping the jack up...as it rises, the bike will sit flat on the jack rails. Pump it up to your desired height, make sure your safety catch bar is in place.

When you lower it, Keep your jiffy stand extended, the bike will touch the ground and lean over on the jiffy....keep a hand on the handlebars during this. I hope this helps.

Just bought this HF lift table. Put on 2x6 side extensions similar to yours, but found your 55" on the short side was way too long. On my table that length would interfere with the foot pump handle.

On mine it does hit the peddle a small amount when the table is all the way down, but not enough to interfere with operation. You might try notching the inside edge of the 2x6.

My wife went and picked one of these up for me today. She used the coupon and paid $76 for it. She told me that it was in the trunk of the car when she got home and I went to go put it in the garage. Apparently, the guy that went back to get it for her had no clue what he was doing and ended up giving her the aluminum one that retails for $189. They never scanned it because she had already paid for it, prior to them bringing it out. Normally, I would take it back and let them know of the mistake they made but I'm looking at this as restitution for the run of crappy stuff that I have gotten from them lately that broke almost instantly. I probably wouldn't even tried getting this without mostly positive reviews on here.
